Former Giants Wide Receiver Plaxico Burress has accepted a plea bargain of a two-year prison sentence.  Burress faced a minimum of 3 ½ years in prison if convicted in a trial. Burress pleaded guilty of one charge of attempted criminal possession of a weapon. He will be sentenced on September 22. Burress who caught the winning touchdown in Superbowl XLII against the New England Patriots was in a nightclub in Manhattan nightclub with a gun strapped to his waistband slipped down and went off and shot himself in the thigh. The gun was not licensed which is illegal in the state of New York.
